2008-2012: Developing the technology
The development of AviationGlass was a process of trial and error. The co-creators of AviationGlass have wide-ranging training, experience and skills. They combined their expertise and during 4 years of research they developed a high-quality product with spectacular advantages.
March 2012: The incorporation of AviationGlass
The technology we have been developing for 4 years has finally been perfected and we feel confident to move on. Ramphastos Investments helped us by providing us with a private equity, which allowed us to initiate production tests and facilities.
April 2013: Introduction to the public
We introduced our revolutionary product to the public at the Aircraft Interiors Expo Hamburg.
September 2013: Prototyping AeroGlass Mirror
With the arrival of an alum-coating machine we started prototyping mirrored glass which is a mirrored version of our AeroGlass Lens: ideal for lavatory finishes, room dividers and other aircraft applications.
January 2014: Qualification products and production
AviationGlass started the process of certification of our products and quality system with the ADSE. The company wanted to be certified for manufacturing AeroGlass products for VIP airplanes and single- or long-range commercial planes.
2015: Production Organization Approval (POA) and ISO 9001:2008
In 2015, AviationGlass & Technology received a Production Organization Approval (POA) Certificate from the EASA, certifying that its production facility has the required quality system in place permitting it to supply products globally to the aviation industry (in compliance with EASA Part 21G). In that same year, AviationGlass received an ISO 9001:2008 certification. The ISO 9001:2008 permits the company to register for the aviation industry’s AS9100 standard.
